BOISE -- A Boise State basketball player has run afoul of the law. La’Shard Anderson, 21, was arrested late Saturday night and charged with two misdemeanors -- resisting and obstructing officers, and disorderly household. Boise Police spokesman Chuck McClure says officers went to Anderson’s residence ... after receiving a citizen’s complaint about a loud house party. Officers arrived just before 11 p.m. and asked more than a dozen people at the party to come outside the home and sit on the curb. Everyone complied but Anderson got up and approached the officers telling them it was his house. He refused to comply with numerous police requests to sit back down. A face-to-face confrontation ensued according to McClure, and Anderson was placed in handcuffs and taken to the Ada County Jail. He has since posted bond and been released. A court date is set for Aug. 2 Share |
