According to the Austin police arrest affidavit, Benson was at Annie’s West bar in the Sixth Street entertainment district on May 30 when he got into an altercation with another, unknown bar patron that left him spitting blood from a cut lip. After staff intervened, witnesses told police Benson shoved a bar worker and was verbally abusive. After being asked to leave, Benson was escorted to the door.

Surveillance video footage released by Dallas police show the quarterback and several people talking in a small room before Young attacked someone in the room. Young left before police arrived, but he spoke with officers around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He received a misdemeanor assault citation with a fine up to $500, and the NFL is looking into the case.

Johnnie Lacy, 20, of Milwaukee, Wis., and James Still, 19, of Detroit, Mich., were both charged with one count of felony assault and arraigned Monday morning in District Court, Providence. Bail was set for each at $10,000 with surety, or $1,000 cash. Neither had posted bail as of 10:30 a.m., according to the court. At about 1:05 a.m. Monday, the Providence police responded to a reported assault at Eaton Street and Huxley Avenue, where they found Yerkin Abdrakhmanov, 21, with blood on his face, according to Maj. Thomas F. Oates III. The police talked to a witness, and moments later, Patrolman Francisco Colon Jr., detained Lacy, Still and another person at Chad Brown Street and Radcliffe Avenue. They were brought to the police station for further investigation, Oates said. Abdrakhmanov was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. He had suffered a broken nose, eye socket and frontal bone, Oates said.

Anshonoe Mills claims in the lawsuit that Holmes grabbed her face and threw a drink at her face when he objected to her sitting on a couch in the Rain Night Club's VIP section on March 7. Mills says the glass cut her near the eye. The lawsuit also claims Holmes and a police officer intimidated Mills so she wouldn't press charges.

Porter was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence early today outside a Taco Bell in Bakersfield, Calif., according to the Associated Press. According to TMZ, Porter was charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest. All of the charges are misdemeanors. Bakersfield is Porter’s hometown.

According to the arrest warrant, Beason was charged with assault with the intent to inflict serious injury. The warrant alleges Beason assaulted Frye "by punching (him) in the face with his fist, inflicting serious injuries." The warrant says Frye sustained a crushed nasal cavity and swelling to his nose and eye area. In a separate incident, court records show, Beason was cited Nov. 12 for reckless driving and unsafe passing and has a pending hearing.

PORTLAND, Ore. - A Portland State University football player is in jail after campus security says he got into a drunken dispute with officers. David Gertson was charged with assault, sex abuse and harassment in connection with the incident. Officers showed up at his dorm early Sunday morning after a female resident reported that Gertson grabbed her inappropriately. Portland State University’s Safety Director says Gertson resisted arrest and one officer was cut by a broken bottle that was in the player’s backpack.

Chris Kearney, 20, veered off the road in the 200 block of North Columbia Street early Sunday, and his sport utility vehicle hit a wall before striking two female UNC students walking on the sidewalk, police said. The two women were taken to the hospital and had serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. There was no word on their conditions Monday. Kearney was charged with two counts of inflicting personal injury, felony hit-and-run causing personal injury and possessing a fake ID and one count each of driving while impaired and consuming alcohol under the age of 21. His blood-alcohol reading registered 0.18, more than twice the 0.08 per se limit for intoxication in North Carolina. His parents flew in from Irvine, Calif., to attend his first court appearance Monday morning and bail him out of jail. He has withdrawn from school and will return home to California with them, said his attorney, Amos Tyndall. "They’re devastated. They’re very sad, very concerned about the two girls who were hurt. Their thoughts and prayers are with those girls and they’re wishing, obviously wishing, he had made better choices" Tyndall said. Kearney was the Atlantic Coast Conference 2007 Freshman Player of the Year. He ranks second on the team for singles and doubles victories and was ranked third nationally among doubles players last fall.

An attorney for Henry, 24, entered not guilty pleas for him after Henry was accused of punching an 18-year-old man in the face and breaking his car window with a beer bottle. Municipal Court Judge Bernie Bouchard set bond at $51,000 on charges of misdemeanor assault and criminal damaging. Noting Henry’s previous arrests involving drugs, guns and alcohol, the judge called Henry "a one-man crime wave."

Assistant defensive backs coach Kahmal Roy was charged Monday for his part in a fight that broke out after a recreation league touch-football game. The 28-year-old Roy punched 57-year-old Stephen Malone as they were shaking hands after a game Sunday, Nassau County police said. Roy said through a spokesman that Malone started the fight by spitting on him. Malone denies spitting and tells Newsday that he suffered a broken face bone and a knee injury. Hofstra suspended Roy on Tuesday. Last season was his first as an assistant coach. He was a standout wide receiver at Hofstra from 1998 to 2001.

"You couldn’t do damage like this with a baseball bat -- it’s worse," said Alejandro Rojas, general manager of Balboa World Class Clinic, the hospital where a cabdriver took Meagher afterward. Rojas said that it was unclear what beyond fists may have been used in the attack but that upon arriving, the 6-foot, 170-pound Meagher’s lower jaw was broken in several places. He was choking on blood from severe internal bleeding.

Paulat told police Wilson pushed her on the shoulder and, when she turned around, punched her in the left side of her face before leaving the eatery promptly, according to the complaint. Wilson was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct and was taken to the Allegheny County Jail to await arraignment. Harassment and disorderly conduct are listed as obstruction of justice.

Police say Christian Haggerty was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (his shod foot) and breaking and entering during the night time. Police allege the 19-year-old sophomore from West Nyack, N.Y., was part of a group that used baseball bats, lacrosse sticks and bottles during the Feb. 1 fight at an off-campus party. Three people were treated at a hospital for facial injuries. Haggerty is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. He was among eight UMass lacrosse players who were suspended indefinitely from the team last weekend. The university said the players violated team rules.

The restraining order was issued in the Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida. (Assault and Battery and Restraining order) Washington alleged Moss refused to allow her to seek medical treatment. "She has her own house. She has her own car," Moss said. "So how am I going to deny someone medical attention when you live by yourself and have your own vehicle?" (this is the "other felonies" bust. We don’t have a crime for preventing medical treatment)

After being accosted by clubgoers inside, Bynum went outside to find his car windows smashed (WPWT). Bynum then hopped in his windowless ride and proceeded to run down the club DJ with his car. He then backed up and ran him over two more times (Attempted Murder). The DJ is in serious but stable condition. From some other articles, it looks like Bynum has been thrown in a Tel Aviv prison indefinitely, as they feel he is a threat to flee the country. The incident could see the £45,000-a-week midfielder sacked. Sources at Newcastle said the club was examining his contract to see whether it could be terminated in light of his arrest. Magistrates were told yesterday that Barton, 25, "snapped and lashed out" after being goaded by other diners at the McDonalds at around 5.30am. The confrontation continued outside. Police were called after Barton was spotted on CCTV allegedly attacking two teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons. One of them was reportedly punched unconscious. He was taken to hospital but has since been released. Magistrates refused to grant Barton - whose half brother, Michael, 18, was convicted of the racist murder of Anthony Walker - bail after hearing details of two previous alleged assaults for which he is awaiting trial. They remanded the Liverpoolborn player into custody until next Thursday, meaning he will miss two Premier League games for Newcastle. On hearing the decision, Barton, who has made one substitute appearance for England, turned to a guard beside him and held his hands out to be cuffed. Jayne Hughes, prosecuting, said Barton had been charged with common assault and affray. "The CCTV clearly shows Mr Barton involved in altercations with members of the public going about their business," she said. "He was seen pacing around Church Street and lashing out indiscriminately at people walking around and standing around."
