MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University men’s basketball players Joe Mazzulla, a senior, and Dalton Pepper, a sophomore, were issued disorderly conduct and public urination citations by Morgantown police early Sunday morning.

Both players have the option to contest the charges in municipal court Nov. 1 or to plead guilty and pay a fine.

In a statement released through the sports information department, West Virginia coach Bob Huggins said, "We are aware of the situation and the matter will be handled internally."

Mazzulla has had two other alcohol-related incidents at West Virginia.

Police arrested University of Oklahoma football player Austin Box over the weekend in Bricktown after an officer saw him urinating on bar stools, according to a police report.

Box, 21, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of disorderly conduct by urinating in public and later released, the report states. His bail information was not immediately available.
